Bus to Nature Program

At the BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin, we believe that nature is for everyone, and we want to ensure that all kids can explore the outdoors. That's why we're excited to introduce our Bus to Nature program.

What is the Bus to Nature Program?

The Bus to Nature program is designed to help kids get outside and experience the beauty of our community's green spaces. We provide transportation, food, and programming that encourages outdoor exploration. This program is so kids in underrepresented neighborhoods can participate in activities such as bird watching, hiking, nature walks, and more.

Our Goals:

  • Transportation & Food: We understand that getting to nature can sometimes be a challenge. Our program covers transportation and food costs so kids can enjoy all that nature has to offer without barriers.

  • Exploration: Outdoor spaces provide endless opportunities for learning and growth. Our program encourages kids to explore, discover, and connect with the natural world.

  • Fun: From spotting birds to observing wildlife, nature activities are not only educational but also incredibly fun. The Bus to Nature program provides opportunities for kids to enjoy being outdoors and engaging in fun, interactive activities.

Nature is for Everyone

We are committed to making sure that all children, regardless of background or circumstance, have the chance to experience the joy and healing power of nature. Nature is for everyone, even YOU!

Get Involved

Field trips must be to a green space, such as a park, garden, arboretum, wildlife refuge, or similar outdoor area.

Schools and organizations that serve a majority of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students will receive priority. If you would like to apply for a field trip or learn more about the Bus to Nature program, please contact us today!
