Join us for a hike through WR Wadewitz Nature Camp in the Village of Rochester (near Waterford in Racine County). Wadewitz has mowed trails through a beautiful prairie as well as woodland trails that we'll explore too. It's wonderful habitat for both birds and butterflies, so let's focus on both!!

What to Expect

  • Not too many hills, but somewhat uneven trails especially in the woods. Length is less than 2 miles. We'll go slowly and spend about an hour and a half.

  • We are only minutes from town where you can find restrooms at a convenience store or a coffee shop. There are also Port-o-Pots near the park entrance.

  • There's a nice sized gravel parking lot so you won't have any trouble finding parking.

  • We love new birders! As always, birders of all skill levels are welcome and we have child- and adult-sized binoculars available for those who’d like to borrow a pair.
