Join us for a morning of birding at beautiful Owen Conservation Park! We’ll explore gentle trails through historic oak openings, stroll past an Ice Age kettle, and enjoy sweeping views of the west side of Madison from restored prairies. Keep your eyes out for Eastern Bluebirds, a variety of sparrows, flycatchers like Eastern Kingbirds and Eastern Phoebes, and soaring birds of prey—including Red-tailed Hawks and the occasional Bald Eagle flyover!
What to Expect
We love new birders! As always, birders of all skill levels are welcome and we have child- and adult-sized binoculars available for those who’d like to borrow a pair.
