Join us in celebrating spring for this Learn to Bird event at Aldo Leopold Nature Center!
We love new birders! As always, birders of all skill levels are welcome and we have child- and adult-sized binoculars available for those who’d like to borrow a pair.
What to Expect
Trails are wide and surfaces include mowed grass, mulch, and packed dirt which may be muddy after a rain. In general, trails are flat without potholes or ruts. Some roots are present, but can be navigated around.
Trails are well-maintained, though the boardwalk section does a few rotted wooden planks that are crumbling and have holes. Because this is a nature center, there is dedicated staff for maintaining trails on a frequent basis so they won't be overgrown.
