What to Expect & Accessibility
Trail surfaces are primarily grass, with some gravel and pavement in parts of the gardens. Paths are wide, though uneven ground is common. We will be walking amongst the community garden plots!
As always, birders of all skill levels and ages are welcome!
We love new birders! We have child- and adult-sized binoculars available for those who’d like to borrow a pair!
Dress in layers in case of cool, blustery conditions by the lake.
Bathrooms: The nearest ADA-accessible and all-gender restrooms are located at the Eagle Heights Community Center (611 Eagle Heights). This will likely require a car for convenient access, though walking through the neighborhood is an option. Bathrooms are also located at the Narrows on the Picnic Point trail. The Narrows bathrooms are not equipped with running water and are open year-round.
