Nygren Wetland Preserve is a beautiful prairie, woodland, and wetland habitat west of Rockton, Illinois near the Illinois / Wisconsin State Line.
Wildlife species, including migrating waterfowl and songbirds, have returned in abundance since the Natural Land Institute purchased and restored the 721-acre.
Dr. Alan Branhagen, Director of the Natural Land Institute, will host and lead the hike along with Dexter and Rita. We are arranging bus transportation from Milwaukee and Madison, please register below!

What to Expect and Accessibility
We love new birders! As always, birders of all skill levels and ages are welcome!
We have child- and adult-sized binoculars available for those whoโd like to borrow a pair!
Please note: There is one portable toilet at the "barn" area where the buses will park.
